Welcome, Seeds campers!
We kicked off the weekend with some warm and windy weather, but no rain! Cabin groups spent time getting to know one another and beginning their first Bible study together outside.
Dinner brought plenty of smiles with dino nuggets, smiley fries, broccoli, and push pops. We also had some delicious lemonade to tie the whole meal together.
After dinner, campers rotated through stations to learn some favorite Camp Wapo traditions. Then the counselors took the stage for a few silly skits that filled the Coliseum with laughter.
Next came Ships Across the Ocean, where campers transformed into sharks, seaweed, and fish while racing across the field. We ended the evening together at campfire with singing, dancing, prayer, and worship.
Before heading back to their cabins, campers enjoyed s’mores and closed the day with the first ever all SEEDS camp dance devotion, which is how we say goodnight to God here at camp.
Now everyone is settling in for a good night’s rest before a full day of camp adventures tomorrow!
