Thank goodness for Quiet Time – it gave us the perfect amount of energy for our busy afternoon/evening schedule! The full camp recovered on Soccer Field for a camp favorite field game: Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge. Gator dodgeballs flew through the sky while our fastest campers ran the pool noodles back and forth. We were super hungry for dinner afterwards; thank goodness for our Kitchen Staff who prepared chicken alfredo, garlic bread, and yummy brownies. Next, we returned to the Crossfire Chapel to experience Drama Worship. Campers were able to experience visual storytelling about our Bible Studies as well as Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Such a cool and powerful experience!
The evening afterward was very exciting. We debuted a brand-new all-camp game called “Wa-POST Office.” Campers and their counselors delivered silly items to hiding counselors (dressed up in goofy costumes) around camp, with special task cards for delivery, and “receipts” as points. Ask your campers if the met Grilliam, The Dread Pirate Wapo. or Sinkin’ Lincoln! We finished our night with campfire worship down at Lindsay Beach. The color of the sky reminded us counselors of how much time has passed this summer! Back in June the sky was still bright at campfire. Tonight, the twilight was lit only by the string of lights and the roaring campfire itself. Such a calm, fun environment to praise the Lord.
We are so excited for another full morning of fun tomorrow!!
