We have had an absolutely amazing first full day here at camp. Once our quiet time ended, we started our afternoon with two full sessions of free time. During free time, campers can choose from many different activities like swimming, boats, canteen, gaga ball, the art shop, and much more. To go along with free time each day, there is a different tournament campers can participate in. Today, we had an intense air square tournament! There is also a unique craft of the day during free time, and today’s craft was making friendship bracelets.

We had so much fun during free time, and afterward, we needed to reenergize our bodies with some delicious “choose your own adventure” chicken. That means we got to choose exactly what kind of sauce we put on our chicken! After dinner, we gathered together with our cabins to dive into the Word, where we learned more about the Wonder of Mystery. Today in Bible study, we learned about the Angel’s visit to Mary.

As cabins finished Bible study, we all came together for our brand-new award show… the EPIC awards! The EPIC Awards stand for Everyone Participating In Community. During these awards, cabins and individuals are recognized for different things, from tournament winners to the cleanest cabin and many other unique honors. After our first EPIC award presentation, we had a super fun all-camp activity where campers went around searching for counselors who were giving out tokens.

All of these activities were so much fun, we just had to top it off by enjoying some time in community at the canteen. Once we wrapped up canteen time, we all headed up to Crossfire for campfire, as we had some rain come our way. Although we had campfire inside tonight, we still had so much fun worshiping together.

Now we are heading to our cabins for some much-needed sleep!
