What a day we had!
Our final full day was filled with so many fun moments.
Our morning started with a late breakfast. We enjoyed a cereal bar and muffins before heading up to chapel. We had a blast during our last chapel, praising God through song and dance.
Our theme for today was the Wonder of Community, and during Bible study, we took a deeper dive into that theme. We opened our Bibles to Acts to learn about the Early Church and also asked the question, “Who Are We?”
As we finished up Bible study, it was time for lunch. We had some scrumptious Italian dunkers and meatballs. Following lunch, we had some cabin clean-up time and then transitioned into quiet time.
Our afternoon was amazing! We played at the beach, did arts and crafts, played Gaga, and ate a bunch of sweet treats. We also had an amazing time playing in and watching the basketball tournament.
As the afternoon wrapped up, everyone made their way back to their cabins to get ready for banquet. This year, banquet took us on a trip around the world as we enjoyed a delicious dinner of pulled pork and mac and cheese.
After banquet, we came together for a special EPIC Awards celebration, where we honored campers who made a difference in our community throughout the week. We also finally uncovered one of camp’s biggest mysteries! After a week of sneaky surprises and playful trouble from our mysterious mole, we finally discovered who was behind it all.
But the excitement didn’t end there! Next, we headed to the Wapo County Fair, one of our favorite camp traditions. Campers had the chance to explore all kinds of fun stations, including shaving cream activities, nail painting, face painting, hair tinsel, caricatures, and so much more.
Of course, Thursday wouldn’t be complete without our campers facing off against the counselors in an epic game of dodgeball! Once the game was over, we gathered for campfire. Tonight’s campfire was a little different as campers moved through prayer stations, giving them time to slow down, reflect on their faith, think about their friendships, and remember all the special moments from the week.
Now, we’re heading back to our cabins for devotions and our final night of sleep at camp.
What an incredible week it has been! We hope every camper leaves camp knowing just how valued, supported, and loved they are—not only by everyone here at camp, but most importantly, by God.
We can’t wait to make the most of our final day together!
Goodnight!
