We had an amazing first full day at Ox!
There were so many highlights throughout the day, and we started it all with bagels for breakfast. Each morning, we gather together for chapel to worship and learn about our daily theme. On Monday, we focused on the Wonder of Mystery. During Bible study, we read about the angel’s visit to Mary. We then continued our day with a fun field game called Brutus!
Shortly afterward, we enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches for lunch—they were so good! After lunch, we entered a time of Sacred Silence, which is our special name for quiet time. Campers had the opportunity to spend time with God in His creation, reflecting and resting.
Not long after, it was time for free time! One of the highlights was the 9 Square tournament, and many campers also enjoyed going on a hike.
We then headed to dinner, where we had delicious burgers. With the hot weather, we made our way to Camp Wapo for a swim to cool off. It felt so refreshing, and everyone had so much fun! Once we returned to Ox, we enjoyed some Canteen time before ending the evening with worship around the campfire.
After campfire, we wrapped up the day with cabin devotions and headed off to bed.
We can’t wait to see what this week has in store!
