Fridays are special days at Camp Wapo – today we got to welcome a brand new group of SEEDS Campers! Their smiles brightened camp as they moved into their bunk beds, played “get-to-know-you” games with their cabin group, and dove into their first Bible Study of the weekend. Campers and their counselors explored Exodus 3; Moses met God in the burning bush, and expressed WONDER in the presence of our Lord. The rest of our evening was busy with activities: Dino Chicken Nuggets and Smiley Fries for dinner, Camp Tour and Traditions, silly skits with Seeds Showcase, and then an all-camp game of Ships Across the Ocean. We wound down our night with Campfire Worship on the lakeshore, and campers held pinkies while swaying back and forth to “Light the Fire”. And there is no better way to end our first day at camp than freshly baked ooey-gooey oven-made S’MORES. We are all so excited for a busy, fun, and Christ-filled day at Wapo tomorrow!
