Oh Happy Day

It was such a terrific Tuesday at camp! We started our morning with some delicious waffles. This powered us up for a great morning of worship. We sang songs like “Psalm 25,” “The Lord’s Prayer,” and “Happy Day.” We also saw a funny skit about learning how to pray that relates to our bible study.

Our theme for today is “Pray Always.” We read The Lord’s Prayer and talked about how we can pray to God at any time about anything! Of course, we open and close our bible studies in prayer with each other. Every day there is a new style of prayer we explore with our cabins.

We were so grateful for our sunny skies at field games today! We played a camp classic: Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge. In this game, two teams compete to move gator balls, pool noodles, footballs, and frisbees over to their side of the field. If you get tagged, you sit down until a teammate gets you to skip to safety!

After lunch, it was time for the swim test. A much better day for swimming than yesterday! After the swim test, swimming at the beach was a popular free time activity. Campers also made crafts at the art shop, bought snacks from the canteen, went paddleboarding, and played gaga and airsquare.

Following dinner, we gathered in the chapel for a special treat. Christian rapper “Agape” led us in a worship of super fun songs and dances! Our other evening activity was an all camp game called Chip Noodle. Campers try to find colored chips while avoiding getting hit by pool noodles. If they do, a counselor wearing a life vest gives them a silly task to get back in the game.

Campfire is ALWAYS the best way to end our day. We sang worship songs like “All The Stars” and “Dance With Me.” Then, of course we had devos in our cabins. Now we are getting some great sleep to get us ready for another amazing day tomorrow!
