Mustache Madness
It was a wonderful Wednesday at Camp Wapo! After breakfast, our day began with worship in the chapel. The skit introduced us to today’s bible study theme “Forgive Always.” We read the story of how Joseph forgave his brothers and talked about how sometimes it is hard to forgive, but forgiveness is always the right option.
For field games today we played Gladiator and Snoodles. Similar to Exploding Enchiladas from yesterday, Gladiator is a dodgeball game. However, in Gladiator, campers play in teams of two people so you have both a Gladiator and a Shield. Snoodles is a fun game with four teams trying to obtain pool noodles from each other without getting their flags taken.
After lunch, we had a fabulous free time! We played gaga, airsquare, nine square, and basketball, made yarn crafts at the art shop, ate snacks at the canteen, and swam at the beach. It’s ALWAYS fun to have free time with friends!
We all went down to the waterfront after dinner for beach bash. We had so much fun playing yard games, building sandcastles, playing rock-paper-scissors-splash, challenging other cabins to tug-of-war, and of course swimming. Lots of campers enjoyed getting their faces painted as well. It was mustache madness!
As the night winded down, we had some canteen and cabin time before heading down to Lindsey Beach. Our campfire worship is a great way we encounter God here at camp. We sang awesome songs like “Set a Fire.” Then, Vines and Branches got to play a night game before our day was over! But now we are all resting up for what tomorrow will bring us!
