Wilderness canoe trips are incredibly transformative. Our standard canoe trip is 7 days total (spending 5 nights in the BWCAW), but experiences can be as short as 4 days total (spending 2 nights in the BWCAW) or can go longer than 7 days if so desired. We would love to hear what you have in mind and can work to accommodate many different types of trips based on the preferences of the group. Throughout the week, everyone has an opportunity to learn and reflect on God’s creation, strengthen faith, build teamwork and come away with more confidence in themselves and in their group.

All youth group canoe trips have a maximum group size of 9 people total – including at least 1 adult over the age of 21 (accompanying the youth from the church/organization) and 1 canoe guide staff member from Wilderness Canoe Base. Multiple groups per congregation are welcome, and we would be happy to be in conversation about how to best organize each of your groups. There are plenty of ways to customize your canoe trip to fit your group’s interests. Some options include fishing, leadership programming, varying length and distance of trips, as well as a hybrid experience.

*Scholarships available upon request.
