Making Waves

We had such a great day of Ox Lake Roots camp! In the morning, we got to travel to Wapo to take the swim test and have some time at the beach. We made waves playing on the floating dock and UFO. There was also lots of fun to be had chilling on the shore and playing spike ball. Before heading back to Ox, we enjoyed a delicious lunch of burgers fresh off the grill. There’s ALWAYS something great being cooked up for meals!

Back at Ox Lake, we did our bible study for the day. Today’s theme was “Love Always.” We read the story of Lydia, an ordinary woman who sold purple cloth. She was shown God’s love by Paul and then went on to share that love with those around her. The story is from Acts 16:9-15 if you’d like to read it.

Of course, the campfire is another highlight of our day. It is so great to be in the company of nature and each other for worship. Singing songs and swaying around the firepit is such an amazing experience. Then, we end the night with devos. We can’t wait to see what adventure tomorrow will bring us!
