Gather Update: Phase 1

With the support of the Board of Directors, we have started Phase 1 of the new dining hall building at Wapo. Click here to learn more about how we came to this decision to begin, what is included in Phase 1, and why now is a good time to start.

In the last few weeks, the old chapel was taken down. We were able to save the fireplace mantel and salvaged almost all of the wood and trim to use in other places around camp. The excavation has begun, footings have been poured, and foundation walls are starting to appear. If the weather cooperates, we hope to have the building covered by mid-December.
