Camp Wapo is Celebrating 75 Years!
Seventy-five years of creative, vibrant, loud, messy, fun, challenging, heartfelt ministry. All because a few people trusted in God’s faithfulness and followed the nudging of the Holy Spirit. In 1947, the Hickory Point Resort was sold to 16 pastors for $1000 each. It was their dream to start a camp for youth and families on this beautiful peninsula site and in 1948 they welcomed their first campers. Seventy-five years later this outdoor ministry has expanded to three sites welcoming 10,000-14,000 guests year round.
