Take Hold
Today we welcomed campers back for another week at camp – we could not be more excited and WOW we saw God everywhere! Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter at camp is simply amazing!
Today in Bible study, we introduced the summer’s theme “Take Hold”. We dove right into John 16:33 and talked about listening and how God is always listening. After bible study we got to hear about camp traditions and other important stuff we need to know to have a great week. Finally, the campers fueled up with snacks at the canteen before we ended the night praising the Lord with songs at campfire.
Now we are all in our cabins for a good night’s sleep so we can wake up ready for another awesome day at camp!
When We Play Together, We Pray Together

We love to pack of fun into our last day of camp… and it starts with breakfast in bed. After first word and cabin clean up time, we ended our week just like we started it with a Camp Wapo classic: Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge. Today in bible study we read from John 21 1-14. This is the story where Simon Peter and the disciples went fishing but caught nothing all night long. Then Jesus appears and tells them to try one more time and they catch so much that they can’t pull the night up. We remind our campers that Jesus loves them more than they can even comprehend. This love will give them the strength to be good friends to themselves, and good friends to others.
