We are on our third day of the week!

It was a glorious Wednesday. Today, we are reading the story of Esther. This story is sparkling with truth and imagery. It was meant to make the Jews proud of their resilience, meant to inspire a sense of patriotism. We share with our campers that when you read the book of Esther, you have to look for God with optimistic eyes…kind of like real life. You have to trust that God is working behind the scenes and more importantly through the quiet faithfulness of those who believe and trust that God is there.

This afternoon we bashed at the beach. Campers got to play volleyball, attempt a belly flop contest and play some games on the beach! This evening we played another Camp Wapo classic: Chip Noodle. A game where kids run around camp looking for counselors that are hiding around camp while avoiding getting tagged by a pool noodle. Campers get back into the game by a lifeguard who makes them do a silly task.

After another amazing campfire, we headed up to crossfire chapel to end our night with drama worship. This is a worship that our counselors created to help us better understand the meaning of worship.
