Wednesdays at Camp Wapo are never ordinary!

This one was absolutely packed with excitement, creativity, competition, and community!

We kicked off our afternoon with an epic beach bash, where campers hit the sand and waves for all the classic summer fun. Music was playing, the sun was shining, and the energy was contagious as everyone splashed, laughed, and soaked up the camp vibes. We had many different activities to do during beach bash, like a belly flop contest, sandcastle building contest, yard game and a few campers were able to pie their counselor.

After the beach bash, we transitioned into free time, where campers had the chance to go to canteen, beach and boats, and the always popular art shop. For those looking to bring their competitive edge, we hosted not one but two tournaments! We first had a Gaga tournament which was a lot of fun. We then introduced a new tournament to camp for air square. Once free time was over we had a delicious dinner of lasagna and garlic bread before doing a cabin challenge.

But the fun didn’t stop there we had a hilarious and heartwarming skit night starring both campers and counselors. The Not so Late Show gave the opportunity for campers to show off their comedic side and offer a fun chill evening.

Before winding down the night, we had one more canteen time to enjoy a sweet treat or cold drink, followed by a beautiful campfire to worship the Lord under the stars. Songs, stories, and reflections reminded us of the deeper reasons we gather here together.

For our vines and branches, the day ended with a special twist…a Minecraft-themed night game! Each cabin needed to walk around camp with clues to save their missing counselor from the portal. It was a super fun way to end our night.

We all ended our night with devos before getting some much needed rest before our final full day of camp.

Goodnight!
