Nobody on SEEDS likes it when it rains on Saturday but we still make it work. Normally we would play Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge after the best camp game Llamas Over Board (nap time). However the rain made the grass too slippery for us to play it, but our counselors did the best they could and played games with their cabins like Screaming Toes and even made up a game on the spot.  After playing some fun games with their cabins everyone gathered for dinner inside due to the rain and we had the really good chicken tenders and mashed potatoes with a brownie for a dessert.

Every year the SEEDS Program Team creates a  new specialty worship for the campers. This year the kids participated in the Walk and Wonder where the campers watch counselors perform drama scenes from the bible studies the campers have or will learn about this weekend. After each scene the kids participated in a activity that relates to the scene they just watched. These activity’s included tying purple yarn around their wrist, making cards for senior living places, creating a prayer chain, making a cross keychain and learning the Lords Prayer. Normally this would have been outside but due to a lot of rain we had to move it inside of Crossfire chapel.

Directly after Walk and Wonder we had some indoor field game time to replace our lost game of Mighty Mighty and we placed a camp wide game of Exploding Enchiladas. The rain let up a little and we had a chance to let the campers go back to their cabin for some much needed cabin time and then we finished the night with Campfire.

The kids are so ready for some sunshine tomorrow!

Have a wonderful night!
