Today has been the most perfect camp day. From amazing weather to Meaningful conversations about God, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
This morning campers enjoyed some good sleep before eating some yummy breakfast sandwiches as a cabin. We then traveled up to crossfire chapel to worship together before heading into bible study. After bible study we played some fun field games such as Rat-a-Tat-Tat and Exploding Enchiladas.
In bible study today, we studied Daniel 3. It tells us the story if Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Campers engaged in the theme of trouble and how God leads us… even when we find ourselves in troubling times. They find that God joins them in the trouble that comes their way. If there’s a takeaway for today that’s it: The world will give you trouble but God is with us in it and through it. We’re not alone. You are not alone.
After lunch our alpha campers got to head to normal free time rotations (almost every kid headed down to the beach for some swimming). After lunch, our beta campers (7th-8th grade) peeled off to Ox Lake to get the experience of a lifetime enjoying laser tag, low ropes, taco tuesday dinner, canteen and special guest speakers, Joe and Dave (the artist formerly known as Agape.) Back at Wapo, our alphas also enjoyed tacos and went off to servant fair. At servant fair, campers can get their hair braided or washed, nails painted, caricatures, singing telegrams and so much more! We transitioned into a super ultra funtastic game of Zookeeper.
After a busy day, campers are looking forward to snuggling into theirs bunks tonight and having another perfect day at camp tomorrow. See you tomorrow.
