“Oh” What a Fun Week

Our Friday began with breakfast pizzas in cabins. What a great treat to start our final morning at camp! Today’s bible study theme was “With You Always” and the scripture comes from the Great Commission. This passage allowed cabins to talk about how campers will take what they have learned at camp and go home to spread God’s love. The passage also assures them that God is with them ALWAYS, even to the end of an age!

To stay out of the rain, we did a variety of fun activities up in Crossfire Chapel this morning. Campers played a pictionary relay, participated in a human scavenger hunt, and got moving with some Just Dance! Then, we gathered to eat some yummy corn dogs for lunch.

We were so glad to welcome families into commons for closing worship. Our dining hall was packed with people and energy! It’s been a great week and we’re so glad we’ve been able to share it with these campers. “Oh” what fun we’ve had!

If you are looking for things to talk to your campers about this week, here are some conversation starters:

  • Where did you see God this week? New friends, campfire, the sprinkling rain?
  • What was your favorite thing to do during free time? Swim, make bracelets, play gaga?
  • What was your favorite worship song you sang? Always, Radical God, Light The Fire?
  • What did you like to buy from the canteen? Kempswich, pickle slushy, laffy taffy?
  • What was the funniest skit? Thankful heart for the banana duck, sharing kempswiches?
  • What was your favorite field game you played? Mother hen, exploding enchiladas, medic?
  • What did you talk about in bible study? Rejoicing always, being thankful, sharing God’s love?
