It has been an amazing evening here at Camp Wapo!
After getting rested up after all the fun we had during the day we enjoyed some incredible chicken tenders and mashed potatoes for dinner. We then spent some time with our cabin before heading down to Lindsay Beach for Walk-&-Wonder — also known as our specialty worship. During Walk-&-Wonder, we watched dramatized scenes related to our Bible studies for this weekend. After we watched a scene there was always a hands-on activity to reinforce the message. Some of those activities included tying a purple string on our wrists, writing notes to senior livings facilities here in Amery, making a paper prayer chain, making a popsickle stick cross, and also learning The Lord’s Prayer. To wrap up our Walk-&-Wonder we had a dance party!
Following our dance party, we played an all-camp game of Counselor Hunt. Our SEEDS campers hunted the campgrounds looking for hiding counselors to earn their signatures. The cabins with the most signatures (Little Lodge & Nazareth) got to choose two Wapo staff members to douse with two pitchers of water!
Next, everyone got ready to go to Campfire to worship the Lord. Once campfire finished up, we went with our counselors for our nightly devotional activity. Now its time to get some much earned bed time!
We cant wait for what our final day at camp will bring us!
