Canoe Believe The Fun We’re Having

It was a terrific Tuesday here at Camp Wapo! After our breakfast of chicken and waffles, we had a great time praising God in the chapel. Then, it was time for bible study in our cabin groups. Today’s theme was “Pray Always.” We read The Lord’s Prayer and talked about how prayer is a part of our lives.

For field games, we played Exploding Enchiladas and Rat-A-Tat-Tat. Both games are every person for themselves. Exploding Enchiladas is played with gator balls and in order to get back in you need to say “explode!” Rat-A-Tat-Tat is played with two larger balls and begins by saying the chant “rat-a-tat-tat-tat rat-a-tat-tat” twice.

After lunch, we had tons of fun with free time activities. There was watercoloring at the art shop, snacking at the canteen, and playing in the gaga pit. At the waterfront we had campers who went swimming and boating. Canoe believe how much fun we’re having at camp?

It was Taco Tuesday for dinner! After we ate our delicious meal, we headed up to the chapel for a special guest. Christian rapper “Agape” performed for us. Campers enjoyed dancing along to his songs – some even went up onstage and danced with him!

Then, it was time for our all-camp game: Chip Noodle! Campers race around camp to find counselors hiding with colored chips while avoiding getting hit by counselors with pool noodles. If they do, they must sit down until a counselor wearing a lifejacket comes and makes them do a silly task to get back in the game.

At the end of the night, we worshiped down at Lindsey Beach. It’s ALWAYS great to sing our favorite songs together. Then it was devos in cabins and off to bed. We can’t wait for a wonderful Wednesday!
