A Week At Camp = The Best Week
We had a great end to such a wonderful week at Camp Wapo! We started our last morning out with breakfast pizzas in cabins. What a great treat! Then, we got to play one last field game together. So of course we played the camp favorite: Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge. We played together and prayed together one last time.
Our bible study today was themed “With You Always.” We read The Great Commission and talked about how we are called to be loving disciples of Jesus. We can be assured that God is with us ALWAYS as we go out into the world!
It was quite toasty outside for our closing worship. We danced it out in the heat of the sun anyway! There were so many songs we loved this week, so to fit them in we did a mashup of “Days of Elijah” and “Radical God.” We also sang “Every Move I Make,” “Set a Fire,” and “Always.” Many campers said camp was the best week of their summer so far!
If you are looking for things to talk to your campers about this week, here are some conversation starters:
- Where did you see God this week? Campfire songs, new friends, the shining sun?
- What was your favorite thing to do during free time? Swim, make bracelets, play gaga?
- What was your favorite worship song you sang? Every Move I Make, Radical God, Prince of Peace?
- What did you like to buy from the canteen? Kempswiches, malt cups, slushies?
- What was your favorite field game you played? Mighty Mighty, Exploding Enchiladas, Medic?
- What did you talk about in bible study? New ways to pray, being thankful in hard times, sharing God’s love?
