A Prayer for Back to School

God of new beginnings and fresh starts, we come before you asking your blessing on this new school year.

We bring to you our whole selves—our hopes and dreams, our uncertainty, and our excitement and apprehension.

We are ready for a new year, and we ask for your guidance on our words and learning, on our interactions with others, on our attitudes and daydreaming.

Please bless all the staff, teachers, administrators, and caregivers that will help us learn and grow.

We pray you inspire our wonder, guide our learning, and light the path you would have us walk. Help us to be your light to all we meet.
