Hi everybody!
Wednesdays are a very busy day here at Camp Wapo! Following lunch, campers went into quiet time so they could find some rest for the long day ahead. After quiet time, we moved into free time where many different activities were enjoyed, such as the 9-square tournament. Roots campers arrived back at camp from their canoe trip around dinner time. All campers had a yummy dinner and then headed to the beach for our beach bash. They were able to participate in activities such as face painting, rock papers scissors splash, the belly flop competition, and more!! Following beach bash, we moved to canteen time. On Wednesday nights, there are two campfires going on after canteen. Sprouts and Vines are together for campfire, and Branches combine with Roots to have their own campfire. From campfire, each age group split into different activities. Sprouts moved into their star talk and then had a snack. The Vines group transitioned into night game, had a snack, and then their own star talk. Star talk occurs later in the night than campers are typically outside of cabins. Campers gather together on the soccer field to view the stars and learn more information about constellations. Branches and Roots had tons of fun playing a dice game called Bunko! They won unique prizes and were able to play with many different pairings. Campers then headed to devotions and off to bed.
Goodnight 🙂
