Happy Thursday!

Today in bible study, we read John 14:26-27. It’s Thursday at camp, and Jesus knows that tomorrow we are sending our campers back to their homes. We talked about the gift of peace that we have been given. Jesus gives us comfort, encouragement and guidance to help us endure and thrive through whatever trouble comes our way. Jesus, doesn’t give as the world gives. Jesus gives us peace. Taking hold of Jesus’s peace will involve changing our relationship with fear comes along with the company of the Holy Spirit in this effort. We are promised the full presence and power of God, whose hands spun the cosmos up out of nothing but love, patient and hope, who showed up so near to us in the fragile human body of the baby in the manger, and who is as close to us as breathing.

Now we are headed off to field games!
