We Dig Beach Days
It was such a great first full day for our Ox Lake campers! After our morning worship in the earth chapel, we went to Wapo for our swim test and some beach time. It was gorgeous outside! Campers enjoyed a variety of fun activities: jumping off the raft, swimming, playing on the UFO, tossing around a football, and reading on the shore. Two campers even dug a hole in the sand so they could be buried in it! It was such a treat to have burgers hot off the grill for lunch down at the beach.
Once we were back at Ox, we dove into today’s bible study. The theme was “Love Always” and we read the story of Lydia. She was an ordinary woman who sold purple cloth. Lydia was shown God’s love by Paul. Then, she shared God’s love with others – even bringing her whole household to be baptized!
Later on in the afternoon, there was a bit of rain. We stayed nice and dry inside with fun circle games like Mother Hen. We had a great campfire worship and then settled in for a movie night. Campers got pop and popcorn, as well as some treats from the canteen, to enjoy while watching The Princess Bride. What a great end to a fun day!
