Holding Onto These Memories
We had a great last day of making memories with our families and new friends! Our day began with egg bake and muffins for breakfast. Then, we met at the picnic table for an outdoor intergenerational bible study. Our theme today was “With You Always” and our text was from the Great Commission. We talked about what Jesus is calling us to do in the world (spread God’s love), how we can do that (being kind and helpful), and how it feels to know that God is with us always (peaceful and safe).
Following bible study, we were able to take some time to make prayer bracelets or keychains. We used different beads to represent different things to pray for. After all – praying for someone is one of the greatest ways to show God’s love!
After a lunch of corndogs and chips, it was time for closing worship. We sang songs like “Everlasting Love,” “Set a Fire,” and the much-requested “Radical God.” Worshiping together is the perfect way to close out our time together at Camp Wapo. We had such a great week growing in our faith with these families! We’ll definitely be holding onto the memories from this amazing week!
