It’s been a beautiful first day here at camp and wow have we been busy! We started our day off First Word where we read some scripture, sang some songs, and learned our theme of the day which is REMEMBER. We then headed off to breakfast where we enjoyed some delicious pancakes, bacon and eggs before heading up to Crossfire Chapel where we praised God through all sorts of songs, actions and skits. 

In bible study today, We read from Isaiah 40:25-31. This verse launches into our summer theme of All The Stars. Last night during the campfire we introduced our theme song written by two of our summer staff: Grace Becker and August Galleazzi. In their song “ All The Stars” they highlight this verse from our bible study “ Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created these?” This helps us remember God calls out  each star by name, including us. It also helps us to remember to have hope in God, that God will give us strength. 

After bible study, we headed into field games where we played a Camp Wapo classic of Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge. MMSNC is a game where campers have to run across to the other side to get a series of different items and need to bring them back without getting tagged by the other team!
