DESCRIPTION:In 2026\, Wilderness Canoe Base is Celebrating 70 years of Outdoor Ministry. In honor of all who have served and loved this place that has touched the lives of so many\, we will be hosting a few events in 2026. \nPlease take a moment to share your Wilderness story here.  \nPurchase your WCB 70th Anniversary gear here. Items can be picked up at WCB June 18-21 or shipped to you after 6/22. Please read the descriptions carefully when choosing. \nAlumni Weekend\nJune 18-21\, 2026  (includes the worship service) \nThere is space available at camp or you can stay somewhere nearby (see below) and come to camp for daily programming.  There are several registration options available for the weekend\, including full-weekend\, partial-weekend\, and commuter options\, so you can choose what works best for you. Registration for the Alumni weekend is available here. \nIf you plan to stay elsewhere\, please register for the commuter option(s) so we can plan meals and programming accordingly. For those needing housing in the area\, consider a reservation at one of the nearby state parks (Tettegouche\, Temperance River\, Cascade)\, or at a campground on the Gunflint Trail (Two Island Lake\, East Bearskin\, Flour Lake\, Irone Lake\, Trails End) at the recreation.gov website. Accommocations may also be available at one of the Gunflint Trail Resorts (Trout Lake Resort\, Bearskin Lodge\, Hungry Jack Lodge\, Norwester\, Poplar Haus\, White Pine Lodge\, Gunflint Lodge\, etc) \nAnniversary Worship Service\nSunday\, June 21\, 2026 \n9:30 am pontoon rides start from the Cove \n10:00 am Worship at the Chapel \nTo help us in our planning\, please register for the Sunday commuter option. \nTwin Cities WCB Gathering\nSaturday\, October 24\, 2026 \nJoin Alumni and Friends at Roseville Lutheran 5:00-9:00pm. DESCRIPTION:Join our longest-standing retreat and get away for a weekend with other wilderness women! This group of women explores\, creates\, and socializes together\, and spends significant time enjoying the company of one another throughout the weekend.  Whether you have been to Wilderness Canoe Base many times or never at all\, this is a great opportunity to be invited into an incredible community of wilderness women. Activity options include First and Last Word\, community meals\, guided and self-guided nature hikes\, swimming\, Voyageur canoe paddles\, guided canoe trips into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness\, excursions to local off-site hiking trails\, and more.
